EDUCATIONAL AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- That each individual is treated as an individual, and that an individual education and placement plan be agreed before placement.
- That the Education, care and protection of the individual is paramount. Comprehensive child protection policies are implemented together with ongoing staff training.
- Appropriate facilities related to each individuals assessed needs and requirements is provided.
- That the Education of the individual is always based on reinforcing success, at however small a level.
- That a successful introduction to adult life is achieved, accepting the failures of the past, but not letting them influence the future.
- Ensure that the staff are always appropriate for the individual and that staffing levels are appropriate to the level of need.
- Staff will follow an ongoing programme of training in the area in which they are specialising.
- That there are appropriate resources in terms of finance, equipment, quality housing and Staff.
