Residential Homes

Exclusions

The school has a non-exclusion policy as a consequence of the 24 hour curriculum. If a student cannot physically attend the school, then formal teaching will be undertaken within the particular residential home. In cases of extreme disruption every effort will be made to continue formal education; however if this is not possible, then developmental achievements will be assessed.

If extreme disruption occurs that significantly disrupts other pupils education and if all other avenues have been exhausted, students can be excluded from the school premises at the Head Teachers discretion for a period of time. Students will be re-admitted to the school premises when it has been judged by the Head of Care and Head of Education that the student is fit to re-attend.
